Mom's home cooking

I was sick most of last week with a really bad cold and still felt kinda bad this morning. I came to mom's house today for Sunday dinner and after eating, it felt like I had just eaten healing food. I haven't felt this good in over a week. Mom's food revived me and left me feeling vibrant and alive. Now I feel like taking a short nap and let my mother's healing food work it's magic. My mother's cooking feeds my mind body and soul. Not to mention that being with my family grounds me and recharges my batteries for the rest of the week.

Apparently an ex of mine is in prison now. I guess he deserves it for the awful thing he did to me. I saw his mugshot at the GDOC website. Those mugshots make any one look horrible as you can see from the before and after photo examples I am posting.

Pulling my hair out

Work has been absolutely killing me over the past week. I went in at 9am and didn't leave until after 9pm. The owner of the entire company is visiting tomorrow. Everyone has been on pins and needles and the DM has been making constant changes. Being in a high volume high performing store has it's drawbacks.

Hair Care

At some point I got out of the habit of using only salon hair care. I think it was a gradual move and my hair doesn't seem to be as healthy as it once was. I am not sure if this has anything to do with getting older or just the products I am using. I have decided to do a little experiment and switch back to using only salon hair care and see what happens.

Freaky Friday

My plan for today originally was to drive 50 miles from home to go see The Clone Wars with Neal, but I started feeling ill, so instead I went to sleep this afternoon and slept until 9:30 this evening. When I woke up this evening I was very groggy, irritable and in no mood to drive that far, so instead I just pampered myself. It has been so long since I took some personal time out for myself which includes turning off my phone. I forgot just how good a long soak in the tub feels. I gave myself a deep conditioning hair treatment, manicure and pedicure. I feel fresh, clean, smooth and relaxed now. I should do this more often.

This shit is actually pretty good. It gives my lips a sheer hint of color it tastes pretty good and it's not waxy. I think this is a guy friendly gloss. It won't color his lips or feel waxy, plus it makes your lips taste good. I have it in strawberry, watermelon, plum and raspberry. Micro Blogging

I am so totally addicted to mobile micro blogging on my iphone 3G. I am currently posting to twitter and pownce using twinkle and pownce for the phone. It's sooooo easy and addictive, although I think the location based blogging using the GPS on the iphone could potentially get you into trouble. I am foxfire33 on twitter and foxfire30034 on pownce if anyone is interested.

I just finished my first exhausting week back at work after having surgery. I had my gallbladder removed on July 28th 2008 . It took me about a week and a half to recover and I am still not at 100% yet. The pain meds are very effective on pain, they are also quite effective at bricking you up (constipation). I am about to take some ex-lax and hopefully have a movement in the morning. Sometimes work makes me hate working with the public, especially the drunks that come in on the weekends. I am so glad I am off on Sundays. I don't think I could take working Saturday and Sunday back to back. I also hate working with a certain person who can't keep his mouth shut and do his job effectively to save his life. Well, I am currently watching Cooking With Paula Dean on the Food Network. I have really gotten into the food network lately for some reason.

Pain

Just waiting to take my next dose of pain medication. It's not quite time yet, but I am feeling the pain now.

iphone

I got up early this morning so I could get in line for the iphone 3G. After waiting in line for 3 hours, I finally got one just before they sold out. The in store activation was down, so I left with a bricked (unactivated) iphone. I was eventually able to activate the phone from home later in the afternoon. Mobileme is a different story entirely. It has proven to be very buggy and slow.
